The water 'effect' is actually a picture of the ocean I took at Assateague island. I scaled it down vertically to give it perspective (so it looks like you are gazing out over a vast ocean) and then I saved the image as a .png, opened the .png as a layer over the water I made, flip it vertically, scale it to the size of the water, line it up, then set the layer mode to screen and adjust the opacity to whatever looks good, and shabang! you got yourself a cools water effect!
